That is spoken very wisely, and it's true, yes.
Mostly I think about the same, and try to either ignore or calmly educate the ignorant person, depending on their further development and maturity.
I don't waste energy or time on these people, unless they really WANT to learn, or are ready for it. Otherwise I don't even mind bickering or ranting on them, they won't listen anyway and I can use my energy better. For doing good and positive things for instance.
When I stopped fussing about ALL the stupid people (and heck, it are many!) and started caring about the wise ones, I got a lot happier and more 'free', sorta. It was easy for me to accept 'weird' or 'different' people who don't 'fit' in a box, because I'm one of them myself. I identify and understand them. But it was harder though to accept all those 'stupid' people and see they have their own path to walk on, that they just have to learn and grow, and not everybody goes equally fast or slow or follows the same road. They can annoy me sometimes, but mostly, I try not to get affected too much.
But nevertheless I'm really glad that sensible people still exist. :)

You're right about wasting time on people who don't want to learn. That's something we have to figure out the hard way.

This woman once told me that she felt liberated by letting others be, because she wasn't allowed to be her own person at home. It's amazing how much acceptance can enrich your life and the lives of others around you.

True. You're always afraid of losing it.

A few days ago, a church went to a high school that is in my school district. My state legalized gay marriage and obviously, they were strongly against it. A bunch of high school students, including my older sister, were...I don't know how to explain it, but they were opposed to the church's actions. I do think that what the church is doing is wrong, but it's my view and it's their religion (Catholic, I believe). There is nothing anybody can do about it. I don't know how people who are considered "bad" from the bigots, but I hope they feel good after reading your note. I really like this, so thank you for posting this. :)

I choose to believe that anyone who chooses to enforce their will upon others when it is not wanted is "bad"

YES! They are stuck in these circles, much different than a hamster ball! I try to remember this as well when I come across bigots. But I remember, haters gonna hate. If they were in a place where there were no homosexuality, transgender, bisexuality or different races etc.etc. they'd probably end up hating like.. the fridge or the sky. Just gotta hate for some reason.

it's all about their personal insecurities about not being able to control the world around them and feeling afraid of things they don't understand/can't predict.
